2024 Programs

The guild has two groups; both meet on the second Thursday of each month at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.  See our programs below for meeting activities. HTLC does not currently require masks for attendees. Please be considerate of others who choose to wear their masks.

The "Day Group" meets at 10:00 AM in the old Fellowship Hall and the "Night Group" meets at 6:30 PM in Conference Room C.

Combined meetings are held in June and December at 6pm in the Fellowship Hall.

The Guild Board meets the first Thursday of every month at 6:00pm by Zoom.

In the event of inclement weather, the CVQG will follow the Catawba County School schedule.  If schools are closed or delayed, both meetings will be cancelled.

Visitors are always welcome to attend and new members may join any time during the year.

• January 9:  Budget approval and launch of the Challenge(s) for the upcoming year with at least one "challenge-of-interest."
• February 13: Introduction and demonstration of PreQuilt by Laura Henneberry, co-designer of the software/application. Visit PreQuilt here: www.prequilt.com 
• March 13: "My First Quilt" A show and tell of guild members' first (or one of the first) quilts and their journey through quilting.
• April 10: Waxon Batik & Dye Studio presents an informative session on dying techniques like Ice Dying, Batik, Shibori, and Tie-Dye. Visit Waxon here:  Waxon Batik & Dye Studio | Hand-dyed textiles

• June 12:  Joint Meeting @ 6pm. Covered Dish and Challenge.
